The More the Merrier on Friday the 13th 11-13-15

 Copyright 2015 AJ Horton
Hello and happy Friday the 13th.  It looks like the more the merrier on my white camellia today with a yellow jacket and a small fly enjoying the pretty flower.  I'm happy to take their photos.  I'm even more happy that this camellia bush is blooming early.  I have several other camellia bushes in my yard that have buds on them, but, so far no blooms.  Because of that I believe we can enjoy a variety of camellia colors for a longer period - plus all the little creatures that come to enjoy the blooms.  Yay!  And look - there was no "bad luck" for me on this commonly feared Friday the 13th, only peace and blessings.

I hope you had a Friday full of peace and blessings.  Thanks for looking.  See you tomorrow.

Sunday Peace and Blessings

Copyright AJ Horton 2015

Happy Sunday.  People do a lot of things on Sunday; they visit; they play; sometimes they mow the grass; sometimes work; and they go to church.   My favorite church is the great outdoors!!  I go there several times a week, with or without people and I always have a wonderfully uplifting experience. On this particular occasion we were at Pawleys Island, SC - on the beach of course, enjoying the sunset when I was blessed with this scene.  This is one of the reasons I like my version of "church".  This church is where I feel much peace and many blessings.  I  hope that, when you look at this photograph, you feel the same as I.

I hope you had great Sunday.  Thank you for looking.  See you tomorrow.

Wednesday's Flower

Copyright AJ Horton

Hello.  This is a Clematis flower that we planted next to our mailbox a few years ago.  As with every year, they are very beautiful and I really enjoyed them surrounding the mailbox this year.  Looking at flowers can somehow increase the joy in a my day.  I'm not quite sure why, but when I look at a beautiful flower - even if it comes from a "weed" - I feel comforted.  Even if I am extremely busy, if I see flowers, I just have to stop for a moment, breath deeply, and feel the peace from deep inside me.
Take a breath with me, and feel your peace.

I hope you've had a wonderful, peace filled Wednesday.  Thanks for looking.  Peace and blessings to you all.  See you tomorrow.

Monday's Excursion

Copyright AJ Horton
Ok, so yeah, I know it's Monday.  And yes, I had to work a long, hard day.  Probably you did as well.  But, through it all, wouldn't you rather be here?  Would you rather be fishing?  Or at least have your pole set up so if a fish does bite, you can reel it in?  Or, just pretend to fish?  Either way, here you can get away from work, cell phones, computers and all the noise that comes along with those things.  Why not enjoy the time here?  The time that you have to yourself?  You know you want to.  You can go there today - right now.  I love imagining this time to myself without work or electronics and just relaxing in the sun, shade and water all day long.   So, I gave my all to work today, but now, I'm imagining how I would have liked to have spent my Monday.  And I relax.  The stress of today is leaving me.  I am at peace.

How about you?  How was your Monday?  Are you ready to put it all behind you and relax?  Want to go fishing?  Find relaxation and peace?  Please enjoy the visual.  Take as long as you'd like.  Thanks for looking.  See you tomorrow.

Sunset Good Friday

Copyright AJ Horton

The boats are quiet tonight on this Good Friday sunset.  Maybe they're not all fishing boats, but when I see this picture I think of the phrase Jesus used about "fishers of men".  This is a special Friday and weekend and reminds me that I believe God is love!  I do believe in Jesus and God and I do believe that God is love.  I also believe that a lot of hate, war and murder is erroneously credited to God.  People choose to believe what they believe and some people really do believe that God wants war and God hates.  I prefer that God wants what John Lennon sang about in the song Imagine.  Can't we all just get along and love each other, no matter what?  When we spread and nurture seeds of love, then hate cannot grow.

Thank you for indulging me tonight.  Thank you for looking.  I wish peace and blessings to all.  See you tomorrow.

Wednesday loving on the rainbow

Copyright AJ Horton

So who doesn't love rainbows and ole St. Nick?  And when the rainbows are in the house, well that just has to mark a person as special!  Yep, that's my St. Nick.  Yep, that's my rainbow.   For some reason (I felt I was "special") that rainbow would appear every day.  I never really figured it out, but when I moved St. Nick the rainbow stopped coming.  I'm guessing now that I wasn't the one that was "special".  Yes, I love Christmas and everything that comes along with Christmas I keep things in my house every day that remind me of Christmas.  At Christmas time people seem a little bit nicer and family seems a little more important.  Why wouldn't I like that?  Why wouldn't anyone like that?

It's been a long time since I've seen that rainbow in my house and I miss it.  When I look at this photo I remember the feeling I would get when the rainbow came.  And at that moment I feel love - - and peace.

So on this Wednesday I can only hope that when you see this, you feel a little of the same.  Thanks for looking.  See you tomorrow.
