Hello and happy Thursday - and happy Christmas Eve!  For this wonderful day I have chosen a sunrise picture from above the clouds.  Sunrise is a great time of day for me.  Early morning is more like an everyday rebirth for me with a chance at a new start, a new day to make a difference in my life and the lives of others.  Each day is a gift and I enjoy all my gifts and strive to use them wisely.  On this Christmas Eve I wish for all of you the gift of enjoying each day.  I know not everyday is easy.   On those days we must be intentional in finding something with which to appreciate and to smile and to laugh.

Monday Sky 12-07-15

Hello and happy Monday.  Sometimes, on Mondays especially, the days seem very hard.  It is, after all Monday and that's why Mondays are famous.  At some point on that very hard day, you might want to just take a moment to walk outside.   That time might also coincide with the end of the day.  Sometimes the best of the day is the end of the day.  Sometimes all you need to do is take a deep breath and look up - like now.    There's a saying, "When all else fails, look up".  I like that saying.  I use it, I practice it.  Now that you know the saying, feel free to use it for yourself.

Hello and happy Wednesday.  It 's "hump day" and this sunset announces the slide into the weekend.   Of course there may be clouds overhead, just like it's been cloudy and rainy here for the last three days.  Maybe by the weekend we will have clear skies and warm weather.  Well, if not, we can always have a warm and sunny heart, right?

Tuesday Thoughts

Happy Tuesday. Is it really Tuesday?  I feel like I've worked so hard and so long already this week that it must be Thursday.  At least Wednesday.  But, it is Tuesday.  Oh well, my head must be in the clouds.  And so, why not put a photo of the clouds on the blog?  Well, there's no fancy face in them, no animal faces - they're just fluffy clouds, where you can look into them mindlessly and lose yourself for a while.   It's like meditation!  Yes, that's it - meditation.  So the next time you need a break; need to clear your mind; need to just relax and get away from everything, just look to the clouds and lose yourself.

Almost Full Moon For Sunday

Happy Sunday to all.  This moon I found big and orange on Highway 501 on Saturday night.  I had to stop, get out and take pictures of course. To me, the moon looked closer to the traffic than I what shows up on the photo.  When that happens, it is actually an optical illusion and the actual reality shows up on camera.  I thought about splitting the image, taking part of the space out and make it appear how I viewed it last night, but then I thought, "nah, it's good like it is".   It, to me, looks like a panoramic shot.  And maybe I will, one day, split the picture up, take out all that black space between the moon and cars and put that big, orange moon closer to the cars,  I think that will be cool, too.

Another thing about how that moon looks to me - it looks like there's a face in it.  I see the eyes, the nose and and mouth,  Can you see it with me?  When I was younger, my mother pointed out that face to me, and to this day, at certain times, I see that face again.  And I smile and I think of those times with my mother.  (We'll talk about what we find/view in the clouds another time.  :)  )

Monday's Sunrise Clouds

Mondays can have you dreaming.  Dreaming that Monday is over.... Dreaming that today is Friday.... Dreaming of vacation...  And speaking of vacation.... this was taken on a sunrise flight to Puerto Rico a few years ago.  We were the only 3 passengers on the commuter flight from Florida to Puerto Rico and we felt like VIPs.  The sun coming up over the clouds was really something special!  I don't get many chances to see the sunrise from this view.  It is a "high" all its own!
