Front Falls Saturday 11-28-15

Copyright 2015 AJ Horton
Hello and happy Saturday.  Since yesterday I showed you what the back of water looked like, I thought I would show you what the front of the waterfall looked like.   This is Dry Falls, located in the Nantahala National Forest  on Highway 64 near Highlands, NC and, as you can see, there is a large amount of water falling 75 feet to the Cullasaja River below.  This is only a photo, but I hope you can imagine how just how awesome this looks and sounds in person.

I don't know if you're able to see from this small picture, but there are people on the other side of the Falls.  They got there by going behind the waterfall.  I've seen many waterfalls in my day, but this is the first time I have been to one than I could walk behind.  I think I'm feeling other trips to these falls during each season.

I hope you had a great Saturday.  Thank you for looking,  See you tomorrow.

Copyright 2015 AJ Horton

Hello and happy Tuesday.  As promised, today is a teaser of the 90 foot waterfall you can experience when you visit Pearson's Falls and Glen in Saluda, NC.  This is a part of the lower end of the Falls exposed for about 1/2 second to get that look of the water.  Tomorrow you will see the beautiful waterfall you've been teased about for the past few days.

I hope you had a wonderful Tuesday.  Thanks for looking.  See you tomorrow.

Tuesday Falls

Copyright AJ Horton

Hello on Tuesday.  It's summertime, and it's hot!  And, when it's summertime, and hot, one's mind wanders to the cooler days of fall.  In the fall, we go to the mountains and go waterfall hunting.  This particular waterfall was near Asheville, North Carolina.  We're also a little cooler when we go waterfall hunting, although hiking to the falls does heat us up.  If you go waterfall hunting,  remember to wear comfortable shoes and carry water.  Oh, and also remember your camera!

I hope you had a terrific Tuesday.  Thank you for looking.  See you tomorrow.

Wednesday's Waterfall

Copyright AJ Horton
Wednesday, oh Wednesday, why are you so hard?  No answer.  Well, I guess I'll just have to make the best of it - and go to my happy place in my head.  Since I did survive what you threw at me today, Wednesday, I deserve my happy place.  And, today my happy place is a waterfall.  This one is in western North Carolina.   It is cool and refreshing and I want to slide down it into the cool, fresh water below.  Ahh, yes - dreaming on a Wednesday evening eases the stresses of today and readies me for sweet sleep dreams later.  Try is with me.  Tonight imagine yourself at this waterfall.  Imagine stepping into the cool, refreshing water and feeling your feet releasing all the tension they built up today while you were abusing them.   Imagine that release going up through your legs as you wade deeper into the water.  Such a wonderful feeling beginning all over your body now.  Are you feeling it with me?  Wednesday's earlier harsh reality is now being washed away and replaced with a new wonderful, soothing reality that energizes and renews you  - mind and body - for another day.    AHHHHHH!  Feel better?  I hope so.  I know I do.

Thanks for looking.  Thanks for imagining.  Thanks for renewing.  See you tomorrow.
