Wednesday's Beautiful Flower Feeling 09-28-16

Copyright 2016 AJ Horton
Hello and happy Wednesday.  So, yesterday was dark, and today is light and pink!  This lily is a great reminder that everything blooms.  Even the weeds to which I am allergic, bloom - and some of them are very pretty - they just make me sneeze and my eyes water and itch, etc.  And, dark days, clouds and rain can't keep beauty from blooming.  In fact, those days help to nourish the inner beauty.  We bloom and show our beauty just as do the flowers.  Some days we may even feel as beautiful as this flower.

I hope that, today, you felt like the beautiful that you are and you had a wonderful Wednesday.  Thank you for looking.  See you tomorrow.

Friday's Leaf

Copyright AJ Horton

Happy Friday.  Have you ever heard of the "Tree of Life"?  Well, on a trip to Goodale State Park in South Carolina, I found what I like to call the "Tree of Leaf Life"!  We were kayaking the Goodale State Park when I saw this big, lily leaf some in and mostly out of the water.  Looking at the back of it, I was reminded of the Tree of Life when I saw all the "veins".  I loved that it's not perfect as evidenced by the tear at top.  No one or nothing in our own "Tree of Life" is perfect and neither is this leaf.  And, just like this leaf, we also have things  we display "above the surface" that we allow people to see about us and things "below the surface" that we keep hidden  from most others.  Well, that's life.

I hope your Friday was fulfilling.  I thank you for looking, reading, and hopefully thinking a bit about life.  See you tomorrow.

Sunday Lily

Copyright AJ Horton

Happy Sunday.  Today I have for you the White Lily. I have probed the internet for the meaning of these beautiful and delicate appearing flowers.  Most sites tell me that they are a sign of humility and devotion which, to me, seems pretty appropriate on Sunday.  I've also read that the White Lily is associated with funerals, in that it symbolizes that the soul of the loved one was given restored innocence.  If you're interested, you can read a lot more about this flower on ehow.com and search the meaning of White Lily.  Many cultures embrace and give symbolism to this beauty.  Whatever your beliefs, the White Lily is a gorgeous flower and certainly worth enjoying at every opportunity.

Have a great Sunday!  Thanks for looking.  See you tomorrow.

Thursday's Lily

Copyright AJ Horton

Ah, Thursday. Just one day away from Friday.  So, in celebration, I give you a flower.  This is a Calla Lily.  A Calla Lily signifies magnificence and beauty according to "the flower expert" and are excellent plants both indoors and out.  I have to agree with the magnificence and beauty part.  I just love to look at them.  And, they seem to bloom and keep their blooms for a few weeks, not just for a few days.  Also, when you look at them from the top down, they give the shape of a heart.  We all love hearts, right?

I hope you had a thoroughly thrilling Thursday, filled with love and beauty.  Thanks for looking.  See you tomorrow.

Wednesday's Flower

Copyright 2015 AJ Horton

I guess this week is about flowers.  I actually do like/love flowers.  All kinds of flowers.  This flower is a kind of lily.  I think it is a stargazer lily, or Asian lily some sources say.  It is beautiful and I enjoyed photographing it today.  This Wednesday is about this wonderful flower.  Its petals and the actual inside of the flower look, to me, like a star.  Apparently not all stars are in the sky.  I will take my stars wherever I can find them, whether in the skies, in the flowers, or in a "starfish" from the ocean.  Stars seem to be symbols of all that is good, of a certain hope in the world, of a hope that I want.  What do stars mean to you?
I trust you had a wonderful Wednesday.  Don't worry, Friday will be here soon.  Thanks for looking.  See you tomorrow.
