Leaving Wednesday Bee-hind!

Copyright AJ Horton

"Whew, Wednesday, you were tough.  You worked me hard today.  Now, I am glad that the work day is over and I can leave you Bee hind!"

You know, Wednesday is one of those "on the cusp" days.  It's not the beginning of the week and it's not the end of the week.  So you don't really expect it to be a hard, tough as nails day, or a great, easy day.   It's always a surprise when work is so tough on a Wednesday.  But I made it!!

I hope your Wednesday was a good day.  I hope it was more of a good day than a "tough as nails" day.  So, let's bee thankful of this day and get ready to leave Wednesday Bee hind us.

My little bee friend above was found buzzing around my house one day.  I  was so psyched I caught him on camera!  I wanted him to bee my friend, even though I knew he could hurt me.  But sometimes friends hurt friends.  It happens.  You don't want to hurt your friend, but you know the saying, "it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt".  Remember though, it's your friend, and the hurt happens and then you make up and forgive each other.  Yay.  So, I am going to continue to Bee friends with the little guy above and not hurt him and hopefully he won't hurt me.

Anyway, I hope you've had a great Wednesday.  I hope you will bee friends with me and your other friends for a long, long time.  Thanks for looking.  Keep buzzing around.  See you tomorrow.

Sunday's Friends

Copyright AJ Horton

Today is Sunday.  I've had a long day.  It's late as I write this.  And as I look for an appropriate picture that lets you know how I feel about Sundays, I come across this gem.  Sundays are special days and they require special feelings, special events.   As I look at this photo of my friends I am taken back to a special, although cold,  day in northern North Carolina when we joined a group for a paddle down the (I believe) Roanoke River.  We paddled, we talked, we laughed - an all around great day.  Isn't that what Sundays are about - getting together with like minded people and celebrating  the joys of this earth and of our creator?   This is my "church".  I don't need a building.  I need the creation.  I need the earth, the sky, the trees, the water, the family, the friends.   This is where I feel closest to my creator.  I believe this particular photo was taken on a Saturday - but it was MY Sunday, MY most grateful day of the week.

Thanks for looking.  Hope you had a great Sunday celebration.  See you tomorrow.

Sunday Memory

Copyright AJ Horton
Ahhh, Sunday.  Most people like Sundays.  I like Sundays.  For some it's going to church gatherings.  For some it's lounging around the house doing nothing.  For some it's a work day.  For some it's getting together with friends and enjoying outdoor activities, maybe like taking a trip down Memory Lane.  This particular Memory Lane is located in Candor, NC and well, you know I just had to stop and take a pic.  I remember it well.   Sundays are a great day to drive down Memory Lane. Remember the time you hit that home run; remember when you had your first kiss; your first love; your first car?  Yes, we all drive down Memory Lane at one time or another.  Many of us take that trip every day - just for a few minutes - we just find ourselves on it when we share a funny story with friends or coworkers, or discussing a movie we saw over the weekend.   There's a lot of sharing of memories on Sundays with family and friends.  And remember, "sharing is caring".   Today let's all take a ride on Memory Lane and remember something we love, something that will warm your heart and make you smile.  After all, that's what good memories are made of.  Thank you for looking.  Thank you for remembering me today.  Smile.  I'll see you tomorrow.

Hanging out on Saturday

Copyright AJ Horton

So it's Saturday.  What have you been doing?  Working?  Playing?  Yard Work?  Hanging out?  Yeah, hanging out is what I'm doing.  And if you want to see this guy hanging out all you need to do is go to the Asheboro Zoo in North Carolina.  I think Saturdays are made for hanging out and just enjoying the day.  Isn't that why you work all week?  You work all week and get all your chores completed during the week so that you have Saturday to hang out and do what you want.   I hope you had a chance just to hang out today.  I hope you like my friend above.  I want to thank you for looking.  See you tomorrow.
