Friday's Flower Fun 10-28-16

Copyright 2016 AJ Horton
Hello and happy Friday.  I just wanted to have a little fun today with the last of this year's lantana.  I put my cute little photo in pencil and fiddled with that for a minute, then did a focal zoom on my one sharp flower, and then boosted the saturation.  Oh, and for a final bit of fun around the edges, I added a little vignetting, purely for my pleasure.  :)

I hope you had a little bit of pleasure today.  Thank you for looking.  See you tomorrow.

Monday's Peek-a-Boo Tree Frog 10-03-16

Copyright 2016 AJ Horton
Hello and happy Monday.  The frog says Peek-a-Boo this evening from my front porch.  I noticed him as I was going back inside from photo shopping and getting a frog on the Lantana.  The bad thing was, the frog jumped from the Lantana just as I was pressing the shutter button.  I was sad, but then I turned around, walked along the deck, looked up a bit, and BAM, I see another tree frog peeping out at me from the post corner.  Now, I was happy and feeling blessed.  It was a good thing I still had my camera with me because this time, this one didn't jump as I pressed the shutter button.  It's true sometimes that what you really want is just around the corner!  It worked for me.

I hope you found what you were looking for today.  Thanks for looking.  See you tomorrow.

Thursday's Butterfly Feeder 09-29-16

Hello and happy Thursday.  I want to show you my butterfly feeder (along with a butterfly).  Their feeder this year is basically the lantana plants in my yard.  There are many other plants that can be used to attract and feed butterflies, such as lavender, day lilies, butterfly bush and bee balm, to name a few,  If you enjoy butterflies in your yard and want to plant something beautiful, fragrant and functional, check out the website:  http://www.almanac.com/content/plants-attract-butterflies for a long list of plants.  I know there are some on that list I want to plant for the future!

I hope you had a terrific Thursday.  Thank you for looking,  See you tomorrow,

Hello and happy Monday.  As I was looking at my
butterflies on lantana from the weekend, I wondered
what the above would look like if I became a little
"artistic".  I hope you like them.  I really enjoy
watching the butterflies around the flowers.  I'm
hoping that I can get a photo of all the different
butterflies and moths I see around the lantana.

I hope you had a picture perfect Monday.  Thank you
for looking.  See you tomorrow.

Saturday's Lantana 08-06-16

Copyright 2016 AJ Horton
Hello and happy Saturday.  I always want to look at pretty flowers on Saturdays and this lantana is a fine example.  Lantana attracts bees and hummingbirds and helps continue the ecosystem in which I enjoy living.  Plus, they are pretty so I also enjoy that aesthetic.

I hope you're having a good Saturday.  Thank you for looking.  See you tomorrow.

Hello and happy Thursday.  This is more Lantana from my yard in South Carolina.  This pretty little flower helps feed bees, butterflies and hummingbirds, along with other insects.  So, I like it that this little, delicate and colorful plant stands tall and graces my yard helping to keep the eco system healthy in my area.

I hope you had a happy and healthy Thursday.  Thank you for looking.  See you tomorrow.

Hello and happy Thursday.  This is a little bouquet of Lantana.  Lantana is a hardy shrub that produces lots of little flower bouquets that butterflies love, love, love.  And guess who likes to see and photograph butterflies?   That's right - me.  So, consequently, I love the lantana shrub with its little flowers, too.

I hope you had a little love today.  Thank you for looking.  See you tomorrow.
